How’s Your Nervous System Doing?

By Carole Murko, Mindset and Self-mastery Coach at www.loveeatheal.com

Here’s what happened:

A few years ago, I hit a wall. On paper, I was thriving — running a business, leading transformational retreats, checking all the “success” boxes. But my body told a different story: poor sleep, scattered focus, low-grade anxiety, and constant fatigue. My nervous system was fried, and I didn’t even realize it. I had confused over-achievement with alignment — and that realization changed everything.

Here’s what I learned:

Your nervous system is your business partner. When it’s dysregulated, everything suffers: creativity, decision-making, relationships, even your sense of purpose. When it’s balanced, you operate from clarity, flow, and grounded confidence. In my work as a mindset and health coach, I’ve seen how nervous system regulation is the key to sustainable business growth and burnout recovery.

We live in a world that rewards hustle and output — but nervous-system-friendly leadership is what truly creates longevity. You don’t need to push harder. You need to listen more deeply.

Here’s what I urge you to do:

Pause right now and ask yourself:

  • Am I breathing deeply or shallowly?

  • Do I feel calm in my body or edgy in my chest?

  • Am I responding to life or reacting from stress?

Then take one small nervous-system reset action:
✨ Try 3 minutes of slow, conscious breathing
✨ Step outside for sunlight and fresh air
✨ Place your hand on your heart and say, “I’m safe”

These micro-regulations build resilience — and resilience fuels long-term prosperity. Nervous system health is not a luxury; it’s a growth strategy for every entrepreneur and business owner.
